Brian and Ilene came to FBC in August 2007 from a large church in Southern California where Brian was an Associate Pastor of Shepherding and Adult Ministries. They have four grown children and one grandchild. Brian earned a bachelors degree in Religion and Christian Education from Taylor University and his Masters in Christian Education from Azusa Pacific. He is currently working towards a Doctorate of Educational Ministries from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Growing up on the mission field, Brian had heard Bible stories for as long as he could remember. When he was seven years old, Brian came to realize that he needed to make a personal decision to accept the gift of salvation. As a teenager, Brian began to sense that God had a plan for his life and then when he was 34, the call from God to serve him vocationally was confirmed.

Since then, Hugh has completed a Bachelor’s of Theology and a Master’s of Pastoral Ministry. Prior to relocating to Dalhart, he was the associate pastor of youth and worship for FSBC Kingman, AZ.
