Brian Walton

Brian and Ilene came to FBC in August 2007 from a large church in Southern California where Brian was an Associate Pastor of Shepherding and Adult Ministries. They have four grown children and one grandchild. Brian earned a bachelors degree in Religion and Christian Education from Taylor University and his Masters in Christian Education from Azusa Pacific. He is currently working towards a Doctorate of Educational Ministries from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Growing up on the mission field, Brian had heard Bible stories for as long as he could remember. When he was seven years old, Brian came to realize that he needed to make a personal decision to accept the gift of salvation. As a teenager, Brian began to sense that God had a plan for his life and then when he was 34, the call from God to serve him vocationally was confirmed.

Hugh Schwartz

In hindsight, Hugh believes he was called to ministry long before he ever surrendered to the call. He often questioned whether he was doing God’s will by pursuing secular work. In 1999, he surrendered to God’s call on his life and left the world of banking and finance to pursue full time vocational ministry. Since then, Hugh has completed a Bachelor’s of Theology and a Master’s of Pastoral Ministry. Prior to relocating to Dalhart, he was the associate pastor of youth and worship for FSBC Kingman, AZ. Hugh is married to his high school sweetheart, Sherril, and they have 2 daughters, Heather and Rachel.

Sally Finney

Sally came to Dalhart in 1998 after living in Wyoming for 38 years. Her husband Joel was working at the TDCJ. In 2004, Sally joined FBC Dalhart and has been a faithful member and disciple maker. Sally accepted Christ into her life in Olten, Texas at a mother’s day service around 1947. She loves teaching her class “We Care” Ladies on Sunday mornings and has been a dedicated helper working with children, students, and adults from all ages throughout the year.

Dana Abla

Dana and her family moved to Dalhart in 1996. She is married to Kurtis. Their family has been a part of FBC since August of 2008, she officially joined our staff in 2012 as the Church Secretary.
