"that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10 (NKJV)

Who is Jesus?  Who is Jesus not!  He is our Lord, our Savior, our intercessor and our perfect example. 

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:16-17 (NKJV)

To know salvation that only Jesus Christ can give, you can work through the Biblical ABC's of becoming a Christian.

A - Admit to God that you are a sinner.  Repent, turning away from your sin.

"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," Romans 3:23 (NKJV) 

"Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord," Acts 3:19 (NKJV)

B - Believe that Jesus is God's Son and accept God's gift of forgiveness from sin.

"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."  Romans 5:8 (NKJV)

C - Choose to make Jesus Christ the Lord of your life and ask Him to come in and take control of your life. 

"For 'whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.'"  Romans 10:13 (NKJV)

What does the Bible say about becoming a Christian?

God loves you. "In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins."  1 John 4:10 (NKJV)

Sin separates you from God.  Sin is choosing my way instead of God's way.  "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," Romans 2:23 (NKJV)

God sent Jesus so you would not have to die for your sin.  Jesus died on a cross, he was buried and he rose from the dead.  "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."  John 3:16 (NKJV)

Is it time for you to become a Christian?

God's Holy Spirit will help you know if you are ready to become a Christian.  If it is that time, pray a prayer such as the following:

Dear Lord Jesus, 

I realize that I am a sinner and that you're the only one who can forgive me.  I believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  I am willing to turn from my sins and to place my trust in You.  Would You forgive me of my sins and come into my heart?  I want to follow You as my personal Lord and Savior.
